There are quite a few different ways to get reviews on your Amazon listings.

Let me say right off the bat… with recent changes in the Amazon Terms of Service review services are getting more and more difficult to use to get reviews, if you can even use them at all.

So, I wanted to let you know about some alternative tactics I’ve used to successfully get reviews.

Speaking of reviews and launching products on Amazon. This is something we go into GREAT detail on with our clients that travel with us on one of our Super Sourcing trips. PROMOS AND PPC

By launching, doing promos and Amazon PPC you will automatically get reviews.

So, for obvious reasons that works!

But this can be costly. So, you need to have a budget and make sure your budget can last the entire launch cycle.

FACEBOOK GROUPS/BLOGS/OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA

There are quite a few Facebook groups that will offer reviews in exchange for free products or will offer reviews in some other way, shape or form. (More about Facebook Groups below)

You can also get reviews from blogs or from people who do unboxing videos, and you can find influencers who have large blogs that you can give them products and they’ll do a review of your product on Amazon.

Often times they’ll also show it off to the people that they influence, and hopefully help you drive sales and reviews that way.

Speaking of Facebook Groups and other Social Media channels…

You can create your own Facebook Groups geared towards your target market/audience.

If you put out great content, build the community in the group and then launch your products into that group, that is a powerful way to get initial traction and reviews on a product launch in your Amazon store.

In addition to Facebook Groups, I’ve found that building out an Instagram profile and following people that follow your competitors or companies with like products, etc. can also be a place where you can launch, get traction and get reviews.

CIRCLE OF INFLUENCE

Okay, I have to take one from the MLM/Network Marketing book.

Your circle of influence is probably one of the best places for you to get initial reviews, launch products and start getting some traction in the market.

Especially, if you don’t have a big budget to spend on launch services and Amazon PPC you can use your circle of influence and get your product moving. I use this tactic a lot, and it works very well.

Quick aside on this tactic [circle of influence].

The market research you do will tell you, “Hey, you know what? What I’m seeing in this data tells me that I can probably just do a friends and family/circle of influence style launch, and start gaining traction in this market.”

Or you might look and see another product/market and say, “Oh, this one’s a little more competitive, but it does have some opportunity. There are gaps in the market that I can exploit and I need to use a launch service for this to hurry up and gain that market share and get myself in position.”

In closing, at the end of the day, it does depend on your budget and the market, but there are definitely some really good cheap and expensive ways and in both cases very effective ways to get reviews on your Amazon listings.

And the ones I’ve listed above are just the ones that I know are tried and true. I’d love to hear if you have any other ways to get reviews that you have found effective.
