Each week I am trying to update everyone on my apparently audacious goal this year, which was to set out at the end of January to go directly to China, source a bunch of products, get them on a boat before Chinese New Year, get them back to the US, and launched before I leave to go back to China at the end of March or less than 60 days. That is like launching 1 product a day for 50 days.

To bring you up to speed. We did successfully get to China and got most of our orders on the boat before CNY. It actually went to sea on 2/1/16 and made it to our warehouse in 41 days from shipping. We did get samples for all but 1 of my product shipped to me via DHL from our warehouse in China. So we have been doing all the work leading up to the arrival and prep of the products.

Last week I talked about what we did that week and at the time it looked like we were on track. Some things are moving slower that I thought they would, but we are still moving in a good direction. As I was concerned about launching anything before I headed back to China with 20 of you to go over sourcing and launching it was pretty apparent we had come close but were going to miss it.

 

So we missed the 60 day goal, but after getting back and getting over jet lag and working with my partners in China on getting the 3 40′ containers of goods prepared for shipping (which the first one leaves end of next week.) I am also finally listing and shipping products into Amazon FBA.

So far this after Monday was completely shut down in Houston due to a massive storm the came in and caused Havok this week started off slow, but we have shipped 9 SKUS into Amazon, have the listings created for 13, and have begun some review requests. We should get at least 2 more products listed and inbound shipments done by tomorrow end of day which makes it 11 SKUs inbound to Amazon.

I even took one did the listing with my cell phone and put it in my mastermind group to get a quick 20 reviews and then turn on PPC. (really just wanted to point out to the group the importance of listing, then tweaking and making better.) I will change the photos, and do more for that listing as an example to my mastermind group.

Next week the goal is to do about the same as far as completing listings and shipping goods into Amazon. If we can keep that moving we will get them all up before the next shipment arrives. Which is totally insane as I have 20 new products on that load to launch as well. We are on the way 70 new products purchased now to get them listed.

By far the part that takes us the most time is photos, and label designs, inserts designs, and printing, it is also the most important part as it clearly sets you apart and you have to do so much to protect your materials it is not funny. We have taken a little longer than I wanted to and I know I set the goal very hard. A lot of this at this scale we had to adjust our normal processes and hire more people. We still have a few wrinkles to iron out, and that is happening. When we get it together it will be a thing of amazement that can launch new products like no other company I know of and hopefully help of few of you get your businesses moving as well.

The goal to launch 100 product this year is in play, and 50 in 2 months is completely crazy, but I would rather shoot for 50 and fall short than shoot for 1 or none. Action of any type is better than sitting on the sidelines wishing.

I will continue to post about the 50+ product launch in 60 day adventure as my goal for the year is to do this 3 times and launch well over 100 new products in multiple categories and grow the heck out of the beast and automate launching new products as much as possible like a well oiled machine..
